What clients are saying ...

"I just had to let you know that I've got an interview! I've been a nurse for 13 years and I never would have had the confidence to apply for a promotions position without my professional resume. Thank you. (Catherine Ellen, Brisbane, Australia)"

"Now I know why I got you to do my resume ... I'd never have thought of including the details you did ... I've got my second interview scheduled for tomorrow and this is only Monday." (James Fowler,  Portland, US)

"My dad told me I had to have my first resume prepared by a professional, and I'm really glad I did. I just got my first week's wages from my very first job!" (Jess Kennedy, Chelsea, UK)

About Write Resumes 101

During my 20-year career in education, I always enjoyed the part of the year when I helped my senior students prepare to leave the nest and face the world. We'd spend weeks researching suitable positions, contacting employers, writing resumes and cover letters and conducting mock interviews.

Local employers (from small businesses to large corporations) were always happy to send along staff to talk to these eager young people about what employers were looking for in new staff and how to make the best impression. They supplied personnel to help train my students, and along the way I also learnt a great deal about exactly why some resumes result in interviews and some never get read!

When I left to start my freelance writing business in 1998, one of my most common projects was to write resumes for clients. Everyone knows that it's vitally important to get this right the first time because you don't get a second chance.
